This is a wonderful shot it's strange I was just reading a book by this poet Rainer Maria Rilke (I don't know if you've heard of him, but he is excellent) and this is almost the perfect image for something I just read of his the quote is

" I feel it now...there's a power in me to grasp and give shape to my world. I know that nothing has ever been real without my beholding it. "

In your shot I can see that there is the beginning of beholding (the firmament, firmament no matter how ethreal is subject to witness). The sun (I assume its the sun) serves as the coming shape. I read to much into these things, but excellent shot irregardless.

I am truly moved by your comment, thank you  I am actually a devout follower of Rainer Maria Rilke since when I do not know (although indirectly through translations until now, but I aspire to read him in German :reading:). Perhaps, it is not such an "excellent" shot; however, I cannot help but admire how you have interpreted it so beautifully. Thank you once again :w00t:

Well thank your for your own kind words. I hope to some day read Rilke in German, however I need to conquer French first (nearly fluent), and then Japanese. And I supposed the question of the shots excellence is a question of aesthetics and since aesthetics are almost completely subjective I can say its a excellent shot. I've enjoyed Rilke since I was 13 when my father presented me with a copy of "Letters to a young poet" as well as "Duino Elegies" and it terrified and entranced me. To this day I enjoy reading Duino Elegies, listen to Satie and enjoy a drink with friends, one of my favorite activities. Take more photos!!

And I find it kind of funny,I find it kind of sad,
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
